Recent Movies I've watched
From time to time, I stumble across a really good movie. The last couple of movies I've picked up have fallen into that category. The first one is called 11:14 which is about a car crash that happens at 11:14 pm, from 5 different perspectives. As the movie progresses, the audience is enlightened to the connections of all 5 stories. Basically, the movie takes place in middle America in a small town with a bunch of teenagers mixing booze and vandalism to a tragic result. I really liked this flick because of the host of characters. We have the over protective dad, we have a store clerk that would do anything to keep her job, and my favorite character, the over sexed wicked girl that plays her "boyfriends" like a violin.
The movie bounces back and forth in time based on each perspective - so don't miss anything if you go to the bathroom. Use the pause button on the DVD player, otherwise you'll be ticked off.
The other movie I really liked is Layer Cake. A foreign gangster movie about a middle man cocaine dealer who wants to get out of the business but is sucked back in for one more job. As the title suggests, as you get deeper into the movie, more and more layers are exposed to the viewer as well as our main character in the movie.
