The Unit SERE

Last night's show had a lot of political undertones for me. The Unit was exposed to the real life SERE training which stands for Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape. Things got a bit dicey when the CIA wanted to push the men to the breaking point by waging psychological and physical torture.

Were the CIA's methods effective? What about the moral aspects of what they did to the men? At one point in the show, the crazy CIA lady wanted to use electricial shock on them - when wheelchair dude "stood up" and said no flippin way.

These men are the best of the best, super elite delta forces, who are trained to withstand any type physical or mental torture. So my question is how effective is torture? There was a key line in the show about recovering intel from captured combatants. Any intel that's older than 24 hours is basically useless, so, it's really a propaganda play with the prisoners.
