Survivor
Last night's show was all about the idol. Interesting strategy used by Terry using the idol as bait to lure both Karate dude and the Stephanie clone (Danielle).
Survivor is the grand daddy of reality TV. Even after 12 seasons, Burnett still finds ways to keep to show fresh. The immunity idol is a stroke of genius. Think about it - you could be the most competitive player - with a good strategy - and form strong alliances, but if you get stuck on a crappy team who can't win a challenge, the final four would result in the team with the better numbers, not necessarily the best players.
With the extra immunity idol, there's a level of confidence and security usually not shown before. The final vote came down to 6 to 3 so even with all of the lobbying, the Casaya tribe held true.
I foresee chinks in the armor with the Casaya tribe - Shane is a bit too out there (hence why it makes for entertaining TV) and the remaining Casaya players are a bit too cocky.
Getting back to the strategy employed by Terry, me thinks he's trying to set up the jury in his favor. He's going to play the loyal team guy card, and when Danielle and Bruce get voted off, he'll be able to appeal to them and say hey, I warned ya about Casaya and I tried to protect you, you should vote for me because I had your interests in mind. I could be completely wrong - but as of today, April 7th, Terry is my predicted million dollar winner.
