BFFL Best Friends For Life

In a world where shows like "Lost" Overpromise and under deliver, it is refreshing to have a show that overdelivers. Heroes is on a roll. The last 3 episodes before the hiatus have all been incredible. This episode was no different. It seems that the hits just keep on coming.

First the good news... Mohinder figured out that Syler was Syler. On my prediction scorecard, I made quite a few points tonight. As predicted, Zane's death was reported in the paper and Mohinder saw it, while Syler did not. Of course the bad news is that like HRG before him, Mohinder failed to take terminal action when he had the chance. All of this leads to the final scene we have all been waiting for, the rematch of Syler and Peter Petrelli. I hope that Peter has enough control over his powers to make this a worthwhile fight. Everything we have seen so far leads us to believe this will be a great fight.

On another side of the country, HRG is ready to betray his organization. The love of his daughter is now his driving force. It seems that he finally trusted his wife to keep a secret. But the organization is onto HRG and now they have him in custody. I wonder what they will do to him next.

There's a new bad girl in town, and she seems to be able to project illusions. Not a shapeshifter, but able to use illusions to appear as anyone she wants. She works for the bad guys, and is the one that found out that HRG had gone rogue. Too bad. We know that he will survive, but the question is how?

Hiro has the sword now, and with it, his powers. He is back in the time travel and teleport business. He can even teleport passengers. Alas, the last we see of him is when he teleports himself and Ando into Post Apocalyptic NYC. Between that and the painting that Issac does of what looks like his own beheading, the bomb is getting closer.

Another hit on the prediction scorecard is Mrs. Petrelli. given the genetic link between all of our heroes, I guessed a long time ago that at least one of the Petrelli parents had some sort of ability. I don't think Mrs. Petrelli is just aware of what is going on, I believe tahat she has a power of her own. Looking forward to that one. At least Clare has been reunited with her other family for now and could be safe from the organization.

Finally, how could I forget the Linderman reveal? And what a great casting choice. Does Linderman have powers also? How does he seem to know what will happen in two years? Just talking about what he plans to happen, or does he really know?

Many of the Heroes are coming together finally, although I have no idea what happened to Ms. Hana Gittlelman, the email reader. Here today, gone to cyberspace?

I hate that they will leave us hanging for so long with so many questions, but at least they gave me something good to watch while Lost was busy being "Lost".

Before I get started, I want to acknowledge my BFFL for finding this pic I stole from his post. I know it's not kosher, but Big T saved me lot's of time, so thanks Big guy! Most appreciated. Ok, now that I have that off my chest, even though the show basically took place in HRG home, man ole man what an episode. I don't think I am going out on a limb here, but that had to be one of the best Heroes episode. We learned so much, and yet we were tantalized by what we didn't know. It's nice to see Sulu play the heavy.

I guess why the show resonated so deeply with me is because I have daughters. In the end, HRG's love for Claire surpassed his loyalties to the company. A very telling scene for me was the dialog exchange between Claire and HRG. She basically said, you are not my dad and he said, I am not your biological dad, but I am your father and I love you. When Claire was on the bridge with Mr. memory wipe, she realizes what her "father" is going to do to protect her. Claire does come to the realization that her dad is good dude and he was only trying to protect her even though he didn't have any issues in operating in the grey zones.

These last two shows have been very strong for me, it's nice to finally have some compelling TV to watch, however, I am starting to get disappointed in my other super favorite show, 24, but more on that in a different post.

This show is starting to piss me off. Yep, I said it, it's starting to piss me off. I would have been fine with the show, but listening to the promos on the radio for this particular episode, you'd think it was the second coming. "If you haven't seen one episode of Heroes make sure you watch this one..blah blah blah, whatever.

OK, here are my problems with it - Sylar - why didn't he just kill HRG dude when he had the chance? WTF? He had no problem killing the good doctor, but when he could have exacted his revenge, why didn't he? I know he's a main character of the show and you really can't kill him off just yet, but come on writers, at least throw in some drama with the breakout.

Hiro - again way too much time spent on his family life and how his daddy has issues with his weird son. So his sister definitely wears the sibling pants, and coming from the Japanese culture they are a bit cold to women in key business positions, but strictly no bearing on the story line.

Niki - more wasted film time, though we did get to see her rear end when they injected her - so, that wasn't too bad.

Ah yes, the surprise, Natan Petrelli is Claire's dad - even though I was positive it was Linderman. Damn, I hate being wrong. Seems that Petrelli likes to get around. Now that begs another question, how did they meet? Were they being tested? What's the connection? We now have our second family of genetic anomalies.

This is slowly turning into a bad soap opera - maybe the writers didn't expect to get picked up for the entire season? Who knows, but if they don't start getting back to the story line, this will be one slow I will no longer waste my time watching.

From time to time, shows seem to take a break from the fast action, whoa nelly story line and create dialogue or sub plots that are simply time fillers.

This episode was just that - I sat there and watched it and kept waiting for something to happen. The best part of the whole show for me was next week's previews.

Claire finds her 'real' mom and we get a glimpse of Claire's 'real' dad in the previews for next week. Let the speculation begin! Like I said, I enjoyed the previews a lot more that the actual episode.

In talking with several fans of the show, I am going to predict Claire's real Dad is Linderman. Also, HRG dude works for Linderman, and the whole save the cheerleader, save the world thing is because of Linderman. Linderman is connected to several key characters of the show. The money that was stolen belonged to Linderman. Petrelli went to Linderman for a campaign loan, Linderman is purchasing all the paintings from Issac, Linderman has the sword, Linderman had Nicki strip and dance and set up Petrelli so it all points back to him.

Linderman is a powerful Mafia boss, or organized crime leader (I'd hate to slander my Italian friends not all Italians are in the Mafia) so he moved up the crime ladder - does he have any powers? If Claire is really his daughter and his wife has the light me up power, seems to me Linderman may have a power too.

HRG dude must also have a power - we just don't know what it is...maybe it's an ability to be immune to people with the genetic alteration? Maybe in his science experiments, they discovered a serum to counteract these abilities. I am thinking of the plot line in the other science fiction show -the 4400.

So, next week should be a really good episode - can't wait!

Here we are in Heroes No Man's Land. That space between seasons. They are actually going to make us wait 7 weeks to pick up where we left off. That's not entirely a bad thing. It gives us a chance to reflect on what has happened so far, watch the episodes over again (if you are so inclined) and most importantly, ask the important questions. This blog is all about the important questions. I'll ask some. You should ask some. We should see what sort of answers we come up with. Be daring. Make a prediction. Pretend that you are Isaac and you can see the future. Heck... the show leaves us with the first question: Is Your Name on The List?

Here are some of the questions that I have, or that people have asked me:

• What exactly is Peter's dream power?
• Does Mohinder have an ability?
• Does Claire's dad (HRG) have an ability?
• Is Linderman tied into this somehow? He does seem connected to a lot of the heroes...
  
• Who is HRG's boss?
• Does Simone have an ability?
• What other "heroes" has HRG been studying over the last 14 years?
• In the painting above, is the person releasing or absorbing energy?
• Where does Hiro have to go to get a sword and fight a dinosaur?
• Which of the Petrelli parents had an ability, the mom or the dad?
• What is it that the Haitian wants Claire to remember? Why?
• How exactly does Sylar get people's abilities? Eat the brain (NOT).
• How close does Peter have to be to absorb someone's abilities? How long does he retain them?
• Why did Peter look sick in the last episode, even when healing Claire was right next to him? Was type of illness was that?
• If Hiro lived in teh past in the US for 5 of the past 6 months, why isn't his accent any better?

Finally...

We finally start to get this ball rolling. Bravo. I really liked this episode. Nice way to go out before the winter hiatus. Things are starting to cement and I like the way the show is headed.

Let's take a quick recap:

Claire tells her father that she can regenerate. The dad confesses that he has known for a long time and done things to protect her. I have to admit, his confession was a surprise. But I guess not that much of a surprise when you realize that he can "undo" confessions with the help of the Haitian. Claire's brother and best friend have already been "wiped". It's interesting to learn that not only can the Haitian talk, but that he apparently has something to say. As a side note, we also learn that Claire's dad answers to a higher power in this little project.

We see more of Peter's dream power. I'm not sure exactly what the power is, but Peter's dreams are clearly more than dreams, and even he knows it. The dream where Sylar and Nathan come to see him in jail is clearly not a future prediction, but what does it mean. Since his dreams are not literal, does that mean that maybe he is not the exploding man after all?

I'm still not sure what happened to Charlie. Hiro and Ando still say that she was killed and still by the brain swiping dude. In other words, Hiro went back and accomplished nothing. But at least they are together with Isaac now. Who knows what that threesome can accomplish?

Quick side note on Peter... He looks very sick while talking to the cheerleader. But if he is near her, shouldn't her healing powers prevent him from getting sick? What he is suffering looks like TV's version of radiation sickness. Are his dreams so real that he can get radiation poisoning from them?

And what about Sylar? Claire's dad says that Sylar's powers won't work in the box. Why is it then that when Eden goes into the room, Sylar can use his telekinesis to pull her through the super strong glass? I'm going to miss Eden. I guess in the end she was hero, giving her life to keep Sylar from getting more powerful. C'est la vie.

Parkman, DL, Nikki and Micah don't have a huge role in moving the story forward, but at least they more closer to joining the rest of the Heroes.

I almost forgot... Hiro has to go back in time to get a sword?!?!? I didn't think they had swords when there were dinosaurs. Oh well.

They left us with two things to think about over the break. The first is Peter's dream. We know that his dreams are not literal, but do have some connection to people he has encountered or things he is involved with. In his dream, he is in NYC. All of the buildings and vehicles have been quickly abandoned. There is no apparent damage to anything. He is approached by people who know him, who then look at the middle of his body, or his hands and flee. The only person who does not flee is the last one to approach him, his brother. All of the people in the dream are the Heroes we have come across to date. At the end, Peter ignites and apparently explodes. That is a lot to think about.

The second thing they leave us with is the new question: Are You on the List?

Someone tonight will bite the bullet.

Who do you think it will be? If you follow the script of killing the minorities first, we have lot's of possibilities, however, I think they are going to off the white dude. After all, you need hot babe for the show, so, Niki is safe as well as the cheerleader. Why would you burn 4 episodes in save the cheerleader, save the world, then kill her off next week?

Is is a good hero or just a mutant with powers that get killed?

This episode was good and bad at the same time...

First the good. I'm glad that we finally unveiled Sylar! More than that, we learned that his name is really Gabriel Gray and that Sylar is just a name he picked up from a watch he was repairing just before his first kill. Unfortunately, this also shows one of their many disconnects. In one of the earlier episodes, we saw a photo of young Sylar with a birth announcement for "Paul Sylar". All of a sudden, it turns out that they decided that Sylar should not be his real name, perhaps because they realized that if the FBI had his real name, he should have been easier to find.

The Hiro time travel thing is still bothering me. I guess the writers just think that the majority of the viewers don't care, and they may be right. But if you are going to write about time travel, at least be thoughtful about it, and above all, be consistent. In the present day, they show us Hiro returning from Tokyo to the diner and telling Ando that he realizes he can't change the past. Well if that is true, then why does future Hiro go back in time to give a message to Peter Petrelli? If seems that he is trying to change something that exists in his past.

Also, are we now supposed to believe that Charlie died of her aneurysm before she was killed by Sylar in the new timeline? Or is it just that having popped out of her life, he was unable to keep her from going to work on that fateful day? However you slice it, the diner seen would have played out differently now that Hiro and Charlie had had a meaningful relationship. And I have to say it, it is stupid to show Hiro giving Charlie the Japanese phrase book that we heard about the first time around. We know from the original birthday photo, where she originally got the book, that Hiro was not around. That means the original book came from somewhere else.

Now let's talk about convenience... We go back to 6 months ago, largely because that is where Hiro went. And what do you know...? 6 months ago Nathan Petrelli accidentally flies for the first time; his wife has the accident that put her in a wheelchair; Peter Petrelli becomes a nurse, which is how he meets Simone; Claire has her first major accident from which she miraculously heals, Chandra Shuresh meets both Sylar and HRG for the first time; Eden meets Parkman and in the same moment; gets recruited by HRG; and Sylar kills his first victim.

I guess this is not a bad way to try and backfill a story, but it does stretch the bounds of the imagination. As the puzzle pieces fall in place, it also seems like Chandra is ultimately responsible for a lot of things. If he had never contacted Gabriel Gray, would Gabriel have become a killing machine? If Chandra had not given Gabriel the address for his first victim, would he still be alive? If Chandra had not worked with Sylar and shown him his files, would a lot more victims still be alive?

Now that Chandra has let the genie out of the bottle, what comes next? Sylar is following his "Evolutionary Imperative" (a phrase he pulled from Chandra's book), to go around killing people who are "broken". Somehow he gets their ability. Peter needs to get out of jail, although Claire and/or the FBI/Parkman duo can get him out, even without his brother's pull. And we still have to stop the nuke. Next week could be quite the cliffhanger.

Sidenote... The SciFi channel is airing the first 5-6 episodes on Wednesday, 11/29. If you missed any of them, now would be a good time to get caught up.

OK. I'll say it, I think I may have been wrong about Mohinder having powers. Its too early to say definitely, but it certainly looks like Mo just got a visit from the ghost of Christmas past.

Before I digress, it looks like we have continued to change the timeline. The famous pose with Claire in the arena seems to have never quite happened. Peter Petrelli was with her. And what about the painting of Hiro and Ando under the homecoming banner? They seem to have missed all of the happenings in Odessa.

And now that Sylar seems to be in the custody of the "watchers", is the threat of the nuclear explosion gone, or is the group not really out to prevent the catastrophe? According to Eden they are, but I'm having a hard time getting a good read on her. She was very reluctant to get Issac back on drugs, but she doesn't seem all that sweet and innocent.

It's good to see how some of the heroes have embraced their role as heroes. Clearly, Hiro himself was the first to do it. His comment about a person not deserving powers if they are afraid to use them is a little like the famous Ben Parker line "with great power comes great responsibility". And Peter Petrelli is right up there. Despite seeing a vision of the future with himself dead, he rushed headlong into danger to save the world at whatever cost.

Will Peter's being arrested for the split skull of the cheerleader be the catalyst that brings FBI girl and Matt Parkman into the circle with the cheerleader and Petrelli? So far, those two seem a little removed from the gang.

And I have to say for the record, that I am thoroughly confused by the whole Ando situation. When Hiro went back in time, it was the day before homecoming. Since it is now homecoming day, Ando is apparently back in the diner the next day and still waiting for Hiro to return. Since there is a shrine set up for Charlie, should we assume that she is dead, or just missing? But since the older waitress knows Hiro from way back, does that mean that in the new timeline, Hiro doesn't manage to save Charlie? Why did he pop out of her life weeks ago? We know he is not dead, because he lives to be future Hiro, unless that timeline is changed as well.

Finally, we discover that Sylar does not have a built in Hero detector. He goes after people with abilities, but he doesn't automatically know who they are. That means that Chandar's list is really important to him, unless he has managed to put together his own list.

At least we see that Nathan Petrelli's motives are not all self centered. If you or I saw a painting of the future that featured someone close dead, we might have acted the same as Nathan. We can't all be heroes.

Oh... one more thing. How fast do we think that DL can phase? Guess we'll find out next week. I'm excited about next week's episode to see what the world was like 6 months ago. This is a perfect time for the writers to take us back and give us our own dose of Christmas past....

OK. I have been thinking way too much about this. In Heroes, one of the characters, Hiro, can travel through time. The writers just had him go back to the past to prevent a girl from being killed in the present. He meant to go back in time one day, instead he went back at least 6 months.

This is where I start theorizing how the writers may want to resolve this because time travel can be tricky (I can't tell you how I know this, but I do). You don't want to go around screwing up timelines and causing new realities for trivial reasons.

So far, in the last week or so, we have traveled with Hiro from Tokyo to the US. Before a few weeks ago, we have no real sense of his life, other than get up, go to work, go home, read comics, go to sleep and repeat. Let's call this Hiro, "Alpha".

We're with Alpha right up to the moment in a Texas diner where he attempts to travel back in time one day. At the moment he time travels from the present, he disappears from the present and re-appears in the past (6+ months ago). At the time he left the diner, it was a full blown crime scene. After he leaves, we are not sure if it still is. We see cops, but they were in the diner before Alpha and his friend ever arrived, just hanging out and eating.

Now here is the tricky part. In the current timeline, Alpha goes into the past. If he is successful saving the girl's life, then when we get back to present day, Alpha would have no motivation to travel back into the past. Also, at the moment that Alpha sent into the past, he would become another Hiro, "Beta". Because 6 months ago, Alpha was in Tokyo. When Alpha goes into the past, the original Alpha doesn't stop existing, which means that you now have 2 simultaneous Hiros. Alpha in Tokyo and Beta in Texas.

Once Hiro, now Beta, arrives in the past, he must realize that he lacks any real control of his time travel skills. I guess that we are lucky that he ended up anywhere near the diner. With the realization that he can't really control his power, I have no doubt that Beta would decide that trying to get back to the present is too risky, and would decide to stay. It's not that big a deal. It's only 6 months. He can wait it out, assuming that he can find way to support himself and not get arrested or deported. Beta is in a good place to prevent the murder, because he knows what day it happens, and he has enough time to get to know Charlie well enough that she trusts him.

The bonus, however, is that he now has 6 months to learn better English and try to gain better control of his abilities. That could come in handy in the inevitable battle with Sylar. If you assume that I am right so far (which could be a bit of a stretch, here is the problem. When we fast forward to present day, we likely have 2 Hiros at the diner in Texas. One that speaks pretty good English and has some reasonable skill with his power (that would be Beta) and the one we know and love, the adorable Alpha.

Assuming that the timeline is relatively unchanged, Alpha and Ando will stop to eat in this diner at about the same time they did originally, and Sylar will be there. The difference will be that Charlie will not be there, because Beta got her to stay away, and Beta could be somewhere nearby. We have a few problems to clean up:

1) We can't go around with 2 Hiros in the present day

2) We need a Hiro to go back in time 6 months to maintain the integrity of the timeline

So here's my theory:

Beta goes to the diner knowing that Alpha and Ando will be there. He does not want to attract any undue attention, so he finds a subtle way to get Alpha's attention. It's possible he hides in the bathroom, knowing that Alpha will have to go (as he did in the original timeline). It is also possible, that he simply freezes everyone except Alpha, like he did with Peter Petrelli on the train.

Beta explains to Alpha what happened. He also explains that to maintain the timeline, Alpha has to go back in time and become Beta. He will need to do most of the important things that the original Beta did to maintain the timeline and will eventually have to come to the diner to give this speech to the next Alpha. This will create a loop, but won't upset the timeline.

Since Alpha does not know how to control his power yet, Beta will offer to teleport Alpha to the time and place he needs to be, and then return to the present. When we see Ando waiting patiently at the end of the episode, he is waiting for Beta to return, although he may not have been brought in on the truth. However, he might notice that Hiro's English has improved greatly.

There is an alternative theory that my friend Howard brought up to solve the problem of too many Hiros. One of them could be killed in the battle with Sylar, or a skirmish with Sylar at the diner (which might again be a crime scene). If either one of them were killed and the other did never went back, however, we still have a dead Charlie...

I knew this would happen... The whole time travel thing was going to be the place where the writers got sloppy. I said that to my friend Dave after the first episode. At the end of the episode, we have Hiro going back in time to save the life of a waitress he just met named Charlie. His intention was to go back one day, but as we know, his ability to control his powers at this point is limited. He missed.

I say that because he went back far enough in time to be included in Charlie's birthday celebration, which was apparently about 6 months ago, when she got her Japanesee Phrase book. Maybe by the time he gets to the present day, he speaks perfect english. One question is how much of what he has encountered now will change? The bigger question is how will the writers reconcile the two timelines? Over the last few weeks, are there now 2 Hiros? One traveling with Ando and one hanging out with Charlie? How will the 2 Hiro's merge?

Here is the conundrum... If Hiro manages to save the girl, then Hiro has no reason to go back in time. On two occaisions, Hiro has mentioned "rifts". By the future moment when he goes back to talk to Peter Petrelli on the train, he understands that he has to come and go quickly, not stick around for photos. We'll see what they do here. A lot has happened to Hiro so far that we don't really want to undo, but the writers may have a different idea, since they deleted Hiro's ongoing blog from their website.

And the mutants just keep on coming... So we recently met nuclear guy. Tonight we met Charlie, who's ability is that she remembers everything she sees/reads/hears and learns very quickly. I'm not sure why that would put her on Sylar's hit list, but I guess we will have to wait to find out.

It seems that Mohinder's mysterious friend Eden was not just a plant as many suspected, but is also one of the enhanced people, who it seems is working for HRG. Eden's power appears to be some sort of mind control or "super influence". So HRG's secret organization has at least 2 of the enhanced on its side. I wonder if they will recruit any of the other enhanced folk that we've met so far. Isaac seems a pretty good candidate if he ever gets over being mad about them forcing him to shoot up. He does seem interested in helping save the world. And if that is the agenda of the secret people, he may sign up. Who better to have in your organization than a guy that can see the future?

We also learned that the secret mutant police have been around for at least 14 years. We know that because it was 14 years ago that HRG and his people accidentally caused the death of Claire's mom (oops).

We were starting to wonder what was going to happen to Mohinder and how he was going to stay involved. After all, he seemed to turn suddenly cold on Peter Petrelli and the whole notion of mutants. He packed up and left to go back to India to bury his dad. Once in India, he seemed willing to forsake his dad's research and declare him a nut like everyone else. Of course, as we know, you can't fight destiny.

Once back in India, Mohinder comes across his father's computer which is scrolling the same program that Mohinder found on his father's laptop in NY. While in front of the computer, Mohinder experiences 2 different out of body experiences. In them he "witnesses" events from the past. He learned of a sister that he never knew he had, who supposedly died when he was two years old. He saw how his father was killed by Sylar (at seven minutes to midnght). He met a young boy who seemed to be a subject that his father was studying.

The question is, was Mohinder's out of body experience due to his powers or the boys (Iyar Sanjog - Is that a boy's name)? Also, why is this kid's file the only file in Chandra's hidden drawer? All we know about the kid is that he is somehow related to sleepwalking and learning in one's sleep. I think it's possible that we'll discover this kid in a coma somewhere. Why can he only communicate with Mohinder? Why only when Mohinder is asleep in front of his dad's computer? I think Mohinder has an ability, and the program his father has helps activate abilities. His father's book is titled "Activating Evolution", so who knows?

If they went to the trouble of mentioning Mohinder's sister, then we doubt that she is dead, so we should keep an eye out for anyone that could be her. The other reason to mention her might have been that she was "special". Maybe she was one of Sylar's early victims...

I realize that sometimes it take an episode or two just to fill in the gaps, like some of the flashback episodes in Lost, but watching those episodes can be a drag when you were looking forward to something more than filler. Nothing to Hide was one of those episodes. It could just have well have been titled, Nothing to Add...

What did we learn? Claire's brother is a jerk. DL isn't really a bad guy. Mica knows how to use his powers better than anyone else in the program. Nikki's evil twin is named Jessica. We can continue to expect unbelievable coincidences (like DL and Hiro coming upon the same fiery wreck in the middle of the desert at the same time). Nathan Petrelli was driving in the accident that left his wife paralyzed. Peter is smarter than he looks, the cop's powers are clearly still spotty. FBI chick is a little too Clint Eastwood for her own good. Short exposure to 1,800 carries of radiation apparently won't harm you if you take the special pill. That Nathan Petrelli has a tick when he lies. We found a guy that could cause a nuclear explosion with his powers just like the one that Hiro and Isaac saw in the future. The FBI has a special holding tank designed to hold radioactive guys, that radioactive guy and police telepath have matching symbols on their shoulders. Nathan Petrelli lied to his brother about getting the missing painting. And that Mica can tell the difference between Nikki and Jessica. The episode was so lame that even HRG skipped it.

Who knows what segments of this new knowledge will become important over time. But at least we got it over with. Hopefully, we can get back to something cool....

Well surprise surprise, I think I predicted that short hair girl isn't who she seemed to be, and low and behold, last night's episode confirmed my suspicions.

A lot of story line plot development going on here and I am not going to recount the whole episode, you can go to the NBC site and actually rewatch the entire show online. More and more networks are following that practice.

Save the cheerleader - save the world, didn't happen this show - I guess they ran out of time, but we did get to see upclose what will happen to the cheerleader. Precog man, Isaac Mendez started to paint Claire's pic, but Peter Petrelli finished it. The pic showed Claire missing the top of her head and her brain removed. In previous episodes, Skylar is attacking people and taking their brains out. One would now have to assume Skylar absorbs the mutated DNA strains and picks up that special trait. '

We've seen Skylar work in action - bodies pinned to the wall, so he has telekinesis, he can leap and he either has a bullet proof vest or is impervious to bullets. By eating Claire's brain, he would then be able to become almost immortal - hence, save the cheerleader save the world.

Horn Rim Glass guy, (HRG) got caught last night lying to Claire. Claire now knows her adopted Dad is up to something. I also think she knows her "biological parents" or Bio parents are not really hers.

Now time for me to post my latest theory. Me thinks there once was a group of scientists who were studying this mutated gene that causes special powers. HRG and Mohinder's dad must have worked together back in the past. As with all groups, there is part that wants to exploit these technologies for nefarious reasons, and HRG dude is part of that group, whereas Mohinder's Dad was a good dude.

NBC's Hero's is the only new show I am following this season. I already have too many season passes, and I just can't take anymore! However, I was intrigued by the premise of Hero's and I am now a fan.

For you TV junkies, Hero's is a cross between the 4400 and X-Men. Ordinary people are discovering they have special skills and they will using these powers to save the world. It's the same ole story line, but none the less, good entertainment.

MY BFFL and I chatted last night about the direction of the show, and he's under the impression that cheerleader dad is actually a good guy from the future. I can definitely see his point. We both agree that the girl in the dead professor's apartment is a shady character. I think I've seen one too many 24 episodes (think Nina) to trust her. She's just a bit too convenient.

NBC has picked up the rest of the season for Hero's so, it promises to be a good ride for us fans.
