Summer is here
Now that summer is "officially" here - in my book, summer begins Memorial Day and ends Labor Day, we have a couple of shows to look forward to. HBO will be bringing back for a second season, Deadwood. For those of you who haven't seen this gritty old western series, keep your hat on as the language is as realistic as it can get. The best way to describe Deadwood would be Shakespeare meets the wild west. If the second season is anything like season one, Sunday nights will be fun again!
The second show I'll have queued up is Entourage. This is the Mark Walberg creation of a fictitious movie star about to hit it big with his group of flunkies, manager, press agent. As the show has built up more street cred, more and more name actors are playing themselves in cameo roles. James Cameron, Jessica Alba (yeow!) Mandy Moore, etc.
The Sci Fi channel will be starting the 4400 back up again too. I got into this show last year and the story lines were good. A quick synopsis is 4400 abductees return to earth in order to save mankind. Throw in your usual corrupt government officials who would rather destroy than understand, we have great drama.
We have the season finale for the Soprano's next week with an all out war between the Jersey mob and the New York gang.
